National VOAD Launches Nationwide Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) Mapping Project

[Alexandria, VA] — [9/30/2025] — National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (National VOAD), in partnership with Texas A&M University and the National VOAD LTRG Committee, today announced the completion and public launch of its Long-Term Recovery Group Mapping Project.

The project offers an interactive, nationwide view of Long-Term Recovery Groups and Local VOADs, providing critical insights into the reach and impact of the VOAD movement across the United States.

“This map represents the tireless efforts of our members, partners, and academic collaborators who are committed to ensuring that disaster-impacted communities have the resources and relationships they need to recover,” said Justin Wilder, Manager of Communications and Support Services at National VOAD.

The mapping project not only illustrates the scope of the VOAD movement but will also serve as a living resource, expanding as new LTRGs are formed and as Local VOADs join the network.

By making this resource publicly available, National VOAD underscores its mission to unite organizations that support community preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
