#FMM2026 will be hosted by United Way in Alexandria, VA!

This meeting is intended for National VOAD Member (National, Associate, and State/Territory) & Partner representatives. We welcome up to two representatives per member/partner agency to attend, in addition any committee member may attend.

2026 National VOAD Disaster Case Management Convening

Convening Objective:

To bring together national Disaster Case Management providers, community-based organizations, state agencies, and Long-Term Recovery Group leaders to build a shared, practical understanding of how Disaster Case Management functions — both within and outside of federally declared, DCMP-funded events — and to produce concrete content that advances the National VOAD DCM Committee’s guidelines ahead of the Fall Members Meeting.

Supporting Objectives:

• Review shared language across the Disaster Case Management field to ensure clear and concise understanding of current terminology.
• Identify key indicators and data points needed in order to effectively advocate for DCM resources.
• Overview of the DCM Committee’s current Guidelines. 
• Clarify the handoff and coordination points between LTRGs, the DCM Committee, and other committees (disaster legal, housing).
• Surface how states sustain Disaster Case Management in the absence of DCMP funding, including funding strategies and lessons from large-scale events and emerging partnership models.
• Assess the current technology/platform landscape supporting DCM work nationally.
